Affinity Consulting Blog

Lawyers often need to edit long word documents. Scrolling back and forth between distant pages in a long document is cumbersome. Why not split your screen so you can view different parts of the same document simultaneously so that each window has its own independent scroll bar? Here is how to do that.

With your document open, go to the Word Ribbon and click View. You will see an option to Split your document. Clicking Split will give you a horizontal split of your document so you can view different parts of your document at the same time.

When done, just click the same option, which will now say Remove Split , and your document will return to normal.
