Wireless Presentations from iPad to VGA Projector
Compact Adapter Makes Connection Easier
The iPad has become a useful courtroom and CLE presentation device when used with an Apple TV unit. But Apple TV outputs only to HDMI. Most business projectors are VGA. What is the answer?
There are several HDMI to VGA converters available, but none seem as simple or compact as the Kanex ATV Pro. It has a retail price of $59.95. Unlike other adapters, it requires no separate power source. This further reduces what you need to carry with you.
Assuming you have a Wi-Fi network available in court or at the seminar location to let the iPad communicate with the Apple TV unit, all you need is your iPad, the Apple TV unit with its power cord and remote, the Kanex ATV Pro, and a couple of cables (VGA from the Kanex to the projector and 3.5 mm audio cable from the Kanex to powered speakers or the house AV system input).
Devices such as the very simple Kanex ATV Pro should make presenting from an iPad even simpler for lawyers or any professional who needs to convey information to an audience.
